Having a passion for nature and wildlife from childhood lead me to choose habitat and biodiversity (management) as my major in M.Sc. and my thesis was on some aspect of Rock Nuthatches (Family Sittidae) ecological niche in Alborz Mountain Range in Iran. Moreover, I got my eco-tour guide and also birdwatching guide certificates in 2014 from Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft Organization (now changed to the ministry) of Iran. I was working in oilfield (onshore and offshore) after I finished my B.Sc. in mining engineering but left it after one year and start working in a tour agency since I like tourism more than mining and oilfield that are exploiting our planet! During these years I was responsible for creating content in English, tour planning, pricing and marketing in addition to tour guiding.
Our Passion for what we do is rendered in our Services
I noticed knowing the local bird guide in your birdwatching destination is a key point and interacting with him/her before finalizing the tour is very important, too. On the other hand, this issue is not common in Iranian tour companies and that is why there are many tour agencies in Iran that offer birdwatching tours in their English site but there is not enough request for them.
I decide to stablish Iran birding tours for encouraging birdwatchers and photographers across the world to travel to Iran and operating tours for them to enjoy birding and wildlife watching in Iran. They can be in touch with me or other local birdwatchers (my next step) directly and I will assist and accompany you in Iran with pleasure. I am in contact with certified local tour agencies in my country and for supports and permissions I will ask one of them for the arrangements to operate everything according to Iran tourism laws and you can travel to Iran safely and enjoy nature and culture of this ancient country.
Let me tell you a little about birdwatching in Iran; in fact, here it is known as a new nature-based activity and maybe a little luxury especially if you are carrying bird scope and a camera with a telephoto lens. Only during the last decade, the numbers of birdwatchers have been increased (mostly between young people) and now local people are getting used to understanding that wildlife and especially birds are not only for hunting! Developing birdwatching tours in birding hotspots and interacting with local people is one of my goals in Iran birding tours.
Almost from 12 years ago some traveling companies added birdwatching tours in Iran as a new destination to their tours in the Middle East and a couple of local tour and travel companies cooperate with them as pioneers. Incoming birdwatching tours to Iran are mostly from European countries and the numbers of them are increasing gradually but still, they are not so common. I hope more birdwatchers choose Iran as one of their birdwatching destinations and it could help bird conservation, too.
